CBD or Cannabidiol is one of over 85+ cannabinoids found within the hemp plant. Scientists agree that CBD oil benefits are vast.  Also CBD is a wonderful alternative for those who want to avoid the psychoactive effects of THC.

What Are Cannabinoids?

There are more than 85 cannabinoids found in the hemp plant, which is part of the Cannabiceae family. Cannabinoids are botanical chemical compounds that deliver an array benefits. Many, including cannabidiol,  do not deliver any psychotropic effects, meaning they will not get you “high”. Almost all living things are born with cannabinoid receptors in the brain and throughout the body, so you are hard-wired to receive them.

CBD is Not THC

Commonly included in the same conversation as THC, Cannabidiol or CBD is the nonpsychoactive cousin to THC. Often these compounds are the two most prevalent cannabinoids present in high concentrations leading to them both being lumped together in the same category and are often the two most recognized compounds of the hemp plant. CBD being the compound that offers ZERO psychoactive effects and many health benefits that broaden by every scientific study is a leading reason CBD is often looked at as a safe non psychoactive alternative to THC.
